Job Description:

Essential Job Function:

  • Ensure quality implementation of program activities in the district as per budget and workplan
  • Serve as a focal person for Mercy Corps at the district level, ensuring active follow up on key tasks, active sharing of learning and challenges, coordination and engagement with key stakeholders
  • Provide support to Program Coordinator during all phases of the project including setting up, project implementation, procurement, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Conduct regular visits of all identified health facilities of targeted district and provide feedback to Project Coordinator and Senior Technical Advisor
  • Prepare event reports, training reports, monthly progress reports of awareness sessions, success stories on bi-monthly/quarterly basis and submit to PC for review and record
  • Prepare work plans on monthly basis for project activities and procurement plan for distribution of PPEs, IEC and Cash support items.
  • Coordinate regularly with selected Health Facility / Incharge/MSs, District Manager PPHI, Security Focal persons, Local NGOs, District Health Department of Punjab for smooth implementation of project related activities as per work plan.
  • Ensure that objectives and indicators as outlined in the grant agreement are met in time.
  • Follow all MC SOPs on Safety and Security while conducting the activities in the assigned areas.
  • Ensure that the SOPs and guidelines for program activities are followed in the field
  • Ensure coordination with other similar programs in the area
  • Conduct his/herself professionally and personally in such a manner to bring credit to Mercy Corps and in no way jeopardize its humanitarian efforts.
  • Responsible to submit reports in a timely manner, of his/her own supervised activities according the Organizations existing reporting procedures.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Oversee the work of Community Mobilizer, District Field Assistant. 

Works Directly With:

  • The teams and in close coordination with the Project staff, logistic & Admin, HR and Finance department.

 Knowledge and Experience

  • Master degree in social sciences, education, psychology or other related degrees.
  • Having 3 years work experience of implementing and developing systems and processes for participatory monitoring, reporting & evaluation in field for NGO/INGO.
  • Good knowledge of vulnerabilities identification tools. Strong report writing, diplomatic, interpersonal and communications skills are required.
  • Track record of maintaining liaison with governmental and non-governmental partners.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in local languages is desired.
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex emergencies, related security concerns and appropriate responses with experience in insecure environments.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, following procedures, meeting deadlines and working and problem-solving independently and cooperatively.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and experience of Microsoft Office applications.
